Following the London Underground bomb explosions, Endurocide Plus, our new Residual biocide, was selected for the disinfection of the King’s Cross to Russell Square underground line prior to the re-opening to the public.
After consultation with Pirelli, London Underground’s cable contractor, Endurocide Residual was approved safe to be applied to disconnected electrical cabling and components within the tunnel.
The tunnel and track where first sprayed with Road Bio using high pressure spray devices to remove visible contamination.
Following this operation the tunnel was successfully disinfected using a 4% solution of Endurocide Residual.
Endurocide Residual (Patent pending) is a residual surface biocide that once applied bonds to surfaces and continues to offer biocidal kill efficiency for over 7 days after application − see report.
Endurocide Residual meets the European Standards EN 1276 and EN 13713, is water based and, unlike traditional alcohol disinfectants, is non-flammable.
