Last Saturday 23rd of April, I got a phone call off a contractor to say that 7 tonnes of cooking oil had spilled on the M9 Carlow to Dublin road. He asked did we have anything to break down cooking oil THAT WOULD NOT effect the road surface.
I arrived at 7am on the Sunday morning to a scene of complete disaster. It was like someone got a very very large jar of vaseline and smeared 1.5 miles of the road, making it impossible to walk on, let alone drive on it. They had already sanded the road which had no effect on it at all.
The contractor had 2, 1000 ibcs of water on an open back truck with a generator. We then mixed to a ratio of 15:1 Road Bio. The product broke the oil down immediately. The authorities expected the road to be closed for several days. From the time Road Bio was applied, the road was reopened within 6 hours, impressing even the most cynical. I hope and believe that this will be the launching pad for this product in Ireland.
